MISSOULA ~ Cody James Morgan, from Missoula, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born in Port Charlotte, Florida on August 31, 1984 to Edward and Monica (Reser) Morgan, and moved with his family to Lakeland, FL and Sheridan, WY before settling in Ashland, MT in 1994.
In 2007, Cody moved to Missoula, MT where he met the love of his life, Michelle (Lewis). They married in October 2019, and were blessed with three sons - Quinn (5 years), Dominic (21 months) and Malcolm (3 months).
Cody was an incredibly caring, thoughtful and gentle person. He was slow to anger, perpetually laid back and quick to make you smile. He gave the best hugs and people were always drawn in by his easy going nature and sense of humor. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially outdoors during the warmer months. Most recently his hobbies included folfing, and every year going camping. Most of all, Cody will be remembered for the love and care he showered on his boys, wife, parents and extended family and friends. He touched so many peoples’ lives and will be dearly missed.
Cody is survived by his wife, children, parents, parents-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, along with a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his brother (Zachary) and sister (Megan), paternal grandparents Bill and Shirley Morgan, and maternal grandparents Raymond and Doris (Daiber) Reser.
A celebration of Cody’s life will be held in Missoula on July 9, 2022, during Cody’s favorite time of year.
Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Missoula.
