Daniel Eugene Kurzenbaum

MISSOULA ~ Daniel Eugene Kurzenbaum, 84, of Missoula, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, of natural causes.

He was born February 7, 1942 in Butte to Rudolph and Adelaide (Huotte) Kurzenbaum.

After serving in the United States Air Force, Daniel worked at Rangitsch Brothers R.V. and manufactured Home Center until he retired. He then worked and lived at the Deep Creek Shooting Range.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, kayaking and pretty much anything outdoors. Other hobbies he enjoyed were oil painting and woodworking.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Adelaide; step-father, Eddie; one great-granddaughter, Huntley; one brother, Jerry and one sister-in-law, Caroline.

He is survived by one son, Shane (Yolanda); one daughter, Noel (Sherrill); three grandchildren, Amber (Akhilesh), Samantha (Brandon), Jurian (Jeriko); six great-grandchildren, Kingston, Radly, Sovereign, Sylvia, Alexander, Ryker; two nieces, Heidi, Beth (Troy); one nephew, Chip; his ex-wife, Nicole and we cannot forget his beloved cat, Spooky.

Daniel’s Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Missoula. Inurnment will be in the Mausoleum of Remembrance at Sunset Memorial Gardens immediately following. Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force, Missoula American Legion Post 27 Color Guard and the Missoula VFW Post 209.
