Edwin Arthur "Ed" Truax Sr.

March 1, 1955 — January 18, 2022

MISSOULA ~ Edwin Arthur Truax Sr. passed away January 18, 2022 surrounded with the love and support of his adoring family.

Ed loved Jesus with all his heart, his final testimony to Christ was when he looked up and said, "oh wow, I see Him. What a trip!" with joy plastered in his expression . Then he said home with each breath until he was transported home to heaven.

Ed was born March 1, 1955 in Billings Montana the last of five children to Norman and Norma Truax.

When this family later moved to Lolo, Montana, Ed attended Sentinel High School and Garden City Chapel Youth Group in close by Missoula. Ed met Jesus in 1971 and was baptized in 1972 by Don and Ruth Johnson, at Garden City Chapel.

Ed was married to Marjorie in 1980, they raised three children together; Edwin A. Truax Jr., Cassie A. Truax and Ashley K. Truax (Nelson).

Ed loved living in Lolo next to his parents, where he played in the Bitterroot River with his kids and sledded down the "school hill" in the winter always with a loud Yahooie!
Ed became a father figure to many of his children’s friends over the years.

Ed later met and courted the love of his life Judy. They were wed 2005 and spent their time loving each other, loving their family, and worshiping the Lord together.

Ed loved the outdoors, especially the Big Hole Valley. He couldn't wait for fall and hunting. He had many successful days out hunting with his son-in-law Brady, his buddy Clyde and grandson Matt.

Daddy looked forward to Christmas, New Years, and the 4th of July. He couldn't wait to put up the tree and spend Christmas Eve carrying on his father’s tradition. On the 4th and NewYears you were sure to hear "fire in the hole" as he lit off fireworks and ran for safety.

Edwin was proceeded in death by his mother and father, his sister Bonnie, nephew Chase and brother-in-law Trent. He is survived by his wife Judy, his children, Eddy (Amy),
Cassie (Chris) and Ashley (Brady) and his nine grandchildren;
Brynn, Matthew, Ryker, Brady III, Beau, Caleb, Brook Lynn, Ashley Jr. and Kenny; and his siblings Norma Owens (Jerry), Donna McKittrick, Tanya Stout and Frank Borgeson.
