Janet Irene Earll (Bailey)

MISSOULA ~ Janet Bailey (Irene) Earll, of Missoula, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the Springs Missoula of natural causes.

She was born in Red Lodge, Montana on June 20, 1933, to Joe and Audrey Bailey. Janet flourished in her hometown, along with her younger sister Donna Kaye. After graduating from high school, Janet attended The University of Montana and graduated with a degree in History.

Janet married John A. Earll of Great Falls, Montana on September 11, 1955, and raised her daughter Joni and brothers John and Jerry in her new hometown. She taught elementary school in Great Falls until retirement. She loved her students and her profession as a teacher.

In 2005, Janet renewed an acquaintance with Ray Frank of Billings, Montana while they separately attended their 50th college class reunion. They shared life together until her passing.

Janet particularly enjoyed time at Swan Lake and Sun City in her later years with Ray. She enjoyed golf, skiing, travel, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and other close friends.

Survivors include daughter Joni and son John J., including 6 grandchildren. Janet’s son Jerry preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. After a brief interment service, a reception will follow at the Springs Missoula.
