Leila Logan

July 8, 1925 — February 5, 2023

The world lost a precious soul on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Leila Ione Logan was born in Charter Oak, Iowa on July 8, 1925 to Carl and Clara Ullerich. Leila grew up on their farm with her siblings Irma (Lewis Clausen), Glenn (Carol Ullerich), and Nadene (Andrew Watson).

Leila met Lt. Harvey B. Logan in Sioux City, Iowa where he was stationed with the Army Air Corps. They married on August 4, 1945 in Monroe, Louisiana. During Harvey's military career, they lived in 18 states and Germany and raised three sons: Darrell, Stuart, and Jeffery.

When Harvey retired from the Air Force, he and Leila moved to Austin, Texas where they bought and ran Logan's Crestview RV.

After Harvey passed away in August 2000, Leila (Lee) moved to Missoula, Montana to be near her son, Jeff, his wife, Jill, and her two grandchildren, Savannah and Riley.

Lee was active in her church and the Missoula Senior Center. She was a strong proponent of exercise and took aerobics and yoga classes. In her free time, she created lovely bird and landscape paintings.

Always upbeat and cordial, Lee had many friends.

We all count ourselves lucky to have known her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Leila's name be made to Atonement Lutheran Church, 2205 34th Street, Missoula, MT 59801.
