Marilyn Joyce "M.J." Wells

HELENA ~ Marilyn “Joyce” Wells, 87, of Long Beach California, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Joyce was residing at Bee Hive Homes of Helena. She was born July 13, 1934 in Grandville, ND.
Joyce moved to California as a young woman and went to business school. She began her career with AT&T and worked her way up from a telephone operator to an executive in the company. Joyce traveled and trained others, retiring with over 30 years vested in the company.
Joyce was a city girl and did not like the cold, but she returned to Montana every summer to visit her family in Lincoln. She was independent her entire life, but loved and supported her family in every aspect. She was always helping those in need.
Joyce had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a very intelligent, kind hearted, proud and classy lady.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Delos Wells, a sister, Pat Hutsell and 2 brothers, Richard and Merle Wells.
Joyce is survived by 3 sisters, all from Lincoln, Carol Wells, Myrna Wells and Phyllis Ward. She had numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Missoula.
There will be a private service for the family on Wednesday March 9, 2022.
