Mary Esther Betson

Mary Esther Betson, 79, of Clinton, Montana passed away at home on Tuesday, August 29 of terminal cancer.
Mary Esther was born on June 7, 1938, in Crawford, Nebraska to Chuck and Mary Betson. The family moved to Seeley Lake, where Mary Esther took a bus to Missoula to attend Missoula County High School.
After graduating from MCHS, Mary Esther enlisted in the Marines. She was later honorably discharged and moved back to the Missoula area. Mary Esther worked for White Pine Sash, then the Forest Service from which she retired.
Mary Esther loved animals of all kinds; showing cocker spaniels and later rabbits. She also enjoyed judging rabbits.
Mary Esther is survived by her brother, Jim (Connie) Betson of Seeley Lake; niece, Karry (Justin) and great-niece Kelti; nephew, James (Brette) and great-niece Gwen; and numerous cousins and family members across the country. Mary Esther was predeceased by her parents, Chuck and Mary Betson; and brother, Eugene Betson. Per Mary Esther’s wishes, no official services are planned.
