October 27, 1951 — April 13, 2026

MISSOULA ~ Michael ‘Mike’ Steven McDuffee of Missoula, Montana passed away on Monday, April 13th in Nashville, Tennessee. Michael was born on October 27, 1951, in Hermiston, Oregon, to Angus and Norma McDuffee. His family moved to Billings, Mt in 1963 where he was raised and attended schools, graduating from Billings Senior High School in 1969. Michael moved to Missoula in 1980 and where he lived ever since.

Michael met his wife, Carol McDuffee, in 1981 and married in 1982, enjoying 44 years together.

Mike, a passionate sports fan, was a die-hard University of Montana Grizzlies fan and a football season ticket holder for over 20 years. He was also an avid music lover and a devoted collector of vinyl records, amassing a collection spanning more than 50 years. Shortly after attending an Oak Ridge Boys performance at The Grand Ole Opry, he passed away, fulfilling a lifelong dream. In addition to his wife, Carol, survivors include his four sons, Tony Lotton of Stevensville, Greg Lotton of Lolo, Sean McDuffee of Billings, and Seth McDuffee of Denver CO; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Michael’s generous spirit, his wish as an organ and tissue donor has given numerous recipients the gift of life. Michael never wanted to be the center of attention and per his wishes there will be no services.
