MISSOULA ~ Nicholas Meiers Dresen passed away in the early hours of Saturday, March 28, 2026 in Missoula, Montana. Nicholas was born in Polson, Montana on November 5, 2003 to John Dresen and Tammi Dresen. He was the fourth of four brothers (Joseph Dresen, Ryan Dresen, and Jacob Dresen), and grew up with them in Ronan, Montana. A new half-sister, Camille Dresen, joined his family in 2026.
He graduated from Ronan High School in 2022. During his time in high school, he loved his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital and competing in HOSA. He played a variety of instruments throughout his life including piano, guitar, ukulele, and trombone. His passion to pursue challenging piano music and find mastery against all odds was amazing to watch. Puzzles, mathematics, theology, and logic were a constant and sincere pursuit for Nicholas. His intelligence allowed for witty humor and amazing conversations traversing each of those topics; something his family lovingly calls “Nicholisms.”
Among his many hobbies, he loved to travel. His favorite trip to talk about was his mission to France through Envision. Beyond France, he traveled across the US, Japan, and Finland. His fervor to share the gospel with many others is an example of his faithfulness and compassion for others. He envisioned returning to France and continuing the work he started as well as pursuing physical therapy.
He is survived by his parents John V. Dresen and Tamara S. Dresen (Johnson), his brothers Joseph (Amber) Dresen, Ryan Dresen, Jacob Dresen, and his half-sister Camille Dresen, his grandparents Kent C. and Phyllis A. Dresen, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dave R. and Patricia L. Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at Terrace Lake Community Church in Ronan Montana at 1pm April 4, 2026. A private internment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his name toward one of his experiences and passions: Envision: a ministry of the Christian & Missionary Alliance
