Ruby Ruth Roehl-Baylor

November 12, 1937 — August 25, 2025

Nampa, Idaho

Ruby Ruth Roehl-Baylor peacefully entered into Heaven August 25, 2025. She was born November 12,1937 on a farm in New Leipzig, ND. She was the fourth youngest of 13 siblings. The family moved to Missoula, MT in 1945. She attended Willard Elementary and Missoula County High School (now Hellgate). Her first job was at a potato chip factory. She loved being with her sisters roller-skating, attending church functions, and picnics.

She met Ed Baylor at a church function in February 1954 and they were married December 17, 1954. They have four children - Eddie (Connie) Baylor, Florence, MT, Jane (Barry) Garrison, Eureka, MT, Laura (Tony) Zito, Clinton, MT, and Meg (Chris) Moore, Boise, ID. There are 18 grandkids, 28 great-grandkids, and 7 great-great-grandkids.

Mom lovingly took care of our home and family. A warm breakfast, well-packed lunches and delicious homemade dinners with dessert were a daily occurrence. When her siblings and their spouses gathered, she was an amazing hostess, putting on potlucks, chili feeds and BBQs. Christmas was very special with mom and her daughters spending a weekend baking various goodies for celebrations ahead. If she had her way, Christmas would be year-round. She decorated our home beautifully and kept everything in top-notch condition. She enjoyed motorcycling, women’s and mixed couple’s bowling, working around the house, tending to her flowers and watching Griz games. She attended Christian Life Center for many years until her move. She was an avid early morning mall walker until health conditions wouldn't allow it. She was great at crosswords and word searches.

Mom and dad lived a busy and fulfilling life together for 66 years until dad died in 2020. She packed up her roots and moved to Boise to live with Meg and Chris in 2022. She enjoyed live music at the Meridian Senior Center where she created bonds with a few special people. She was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia in 2017, leading to loss of speech and muscle movement. She moved into Luna House six months ago where she received care from a loving group who became family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lydia Roehl, four brothers, four sisters and her loving husband Ed.

A graveside service, for family and extended family only, will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 12:30 p.m.
