Sandra Jasperson

April 29, 1948 — June 2, 2025

Our cherished mother, grandmother and friend, Sandra “Sandie” Jasperson passed away June 2, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 77 years old. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.

Sandie was born April 29, 1948 to Walter and Katherine Frey in Missoula, MT. She was the youngest child out of the 3. She grew up in Missoula and attended Missoula County High School.

She married Fred Jeffries when she was 17. They resided in Miles City, Montana. They had 3 children. Fred was taken too soon from her in 1974 in a tragic event, leaving her a very young widow just before the birth of their 3rd child.

Sandie moved back to Missoula to later wed Michael John Jasperson on March 7, 1977. They had one child. They lived in Missoula and the Stevensville area throughout their marriage. Michael passed unexpectedly in 2005 from surgery for cancer.

Sandie worked hard throughout her life to support her family. She was a housekeeper for her working days, excelling to head housekeeper position before she had to stop working due to her illness. Even though the family made minimal money, she made sure the kids had what they needed.

She continued her life living single and free. She enjoyed spending time with her mother going to the Casinos and their trips to Nevada. Throughout her final years, she had an immense love for camping and travel with her daughter and her family plus the extended family that she grew to love. Anywhere they went she loved to go. Spending time with them was very important to her. Recently bingo became a fun activity that she enjoyed going to at the Senior center.

Throughout all the obstacles that she endured her entire life, she continued with strength, never letting things draw her down. She passed that trait onto her family.

She was blessed with multiple grandchildren. She has the wonderful gift of having a great grandchild Emilene four years ago.

She is reunited with her parents (Walter and Katherine) Brother (Gregory), husband (Michael) son (Robert) and grandson (Dakota).

She is survived by her Sister Char (Denny), sister-in-law Lynn, children Mark (Elaine), Susan, and Michelle (Mark). Grandchildren Danica (Christian), Tara, Tyler, Madisyn and Samantha. Sandie had several people who she held dear and considered family due to their special connection. The family wishes to extend a huge thank you to her caregivers, especially her oxygen delivery driver Chris for his years of dedication and Bridget her hospice nurse.

A celebration of life will be held on June 21, 2025 at noon at her home. Please bring a side dish to enjoy with anyone who held her dear. A main dish will be provided by the family.
