HUSON ~ Terry Michael Case, 81, of Huson, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
He was born September 24, 1945 in Lewistown, Montana to Maxson O. and Arline R. (Barger) Case.
As a young man, he grew up in many places, as his father was in the military. Terry graduated high school in Washington and from there, he returned to Missoula to enter the University of Montana. During the next five summers, he worked for the Forest Service in Idaho doing fire suppression and timber management. It was there that he met and married Reba R. Koole on July 6, 1968. The following year, he entered the United States Air Force, where he proudly served twenty-one years. Terry and Reba were blessed with three children and they adopted a daughter.
The family always called Huson home and would always return there at every chance. Terry would help his father and mother on their land; running fence, feeding stock, mowing, etc., all of which he loved doing. While in Europe, Terry and Reba toured many countries and viewed a lot of history. Terry retired from the Air Force in 1991, but a close friend offered him a job in Northern Iowa. The family moved there and the children grew up there. Terry completed his degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Buena Vista University.
In 2004, Terry returned to Huson to help his mother with the land. He also went back to work in the Produce Department at Wal-Mart for the next thirteen years. During his life, he enjoyed camping, hiking, traveling, reading for pleasure and history and gathering wild fruit and other foods. His real passion after he retired was continuing the family genealogy that his parents had begun.
He was preceded in death by his wife Reba; one daughter; two sons, his brothers Timothy and Toby and his parents, Maxson and Arline.
Terry is survived by two daughters, Holly (Matthew) Seidel and Katjalee Case; one son, Kyle Case; eight grandchildren and five nieces and nephews and several cousins in the Montana area.
Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Missoula.
